Jane's UFO Encounter

As a child growing up in the fifties, the major newspaper headlines revealed the success of the Russian space exploration and their "sputnik." In my moments of deep thoughts the idea of extraterrestrials on space ships landing on earth were a familiar theme. I did not need to examine the facts. I simply accepted that someday we would know the truth which would reveal the existence of life on other planets, as well as there being UFO’s flying in our airspace. I just did not think it would be revealed in my lifetime.The first tangible experience to convince me UFO’s existed occurred in July 1968 in a small town near the Blarney Castle in Ireland. We were watching the American Astronauts land on the moon in a common television room in the hotel lobby.

The mood of celebration and joy permeated the room. The Irish were so excited about the American Astronauts moon landing. As we watched the spaceship landing on the moon we heard an audible transmission that was shocking. One of the astronauts clearly stated that there were UFO’s sighted around the lunar spacecraft, as the others excitedly repeated the same observation. Neil Armstrong then stated he would be delayed in taking his first steps on the moon until the UFO’s cleared the area. Too stunned by the announcement no one uttered a word while our eyes were glued to the television program. The audio transmission abruptly became inaudible and the visual transmission went dark. About three and a half minutes lapsed before the program blinked back on just in time to hear an announcer from mission control that there was a mistake and retracted what had just been observed and announced by the astronauts.

There was a delay in Neil Armstrong leaving the lunar craft but it was no longer blamed on UFO’s. The excitement of his first steps on the moon overshadowed the announcement of UFO’s and generated only a few minutes of discussion in the hotel lobby concerning the puzzling broadcast. We returned to the United States five weeks later expecting to hear about this episode. To our surprise no American had heard what we had heard. That broadcast only was heard on European television.

For years I wondered about the broadcast but never verbalized my thoughts. To me UFO’s were at the moon but the American’s never knew what delayed the moon walk. While attending a UFO conference in 1990, I announced my experience in Ireland during the moon walk broadcast. A woman from Germany confirmed my experience. At the time of the broadcast in 1969 she still lived in Germany, and she had heard the same broadcast. This gave me the confidence to believe that there most likely was a government cover-up... In March of 1990, as I finished teaching a night school course, I got in my car and headed home. I turned right on a road that went directly to my town. Twenty-five to thirty-five minutes later I "woke up" in a confused trance-like state frightened because the area was unfamiliar and also wooded, very unlike the road I remembered turning onto. I was very disoriented and trance-like which also upset me. I entered my house mumbling to my son about a very strange experience that I had just had. I also complained about being extremely tired and I needed to lay down. I thought those feelings were particularly unusual since I usually come home exhilarated and energized from teaching courses.

A few weeks later I attended a UFO conference. There I learned the elements of an abduction: missing time, extreme tiredness, and a trance-like or confused state. A subsequent hypnotic regression a few months later by a psychiatrist friend revealed I had been abducted. A few weeks after the encounter my three year old car acted mechanically strange. Mechanics could not determine why the car repeatedly stalled without warning or in any particular pattern. Then the transmission failed and a new one was installed. While the mechanic test drove the car, the newly installed transmission blew up. A third transmission had to be installed. The car was never the same after that encounter and I finally had to trade in my car. At the conference I also learned that cars that have been in an encounter experienced unusual mechanical failure afterwards. In July 1990 I arranged to have a hypnotic regression to determine what happened during my missing time. The hypnotic regression indeed indicated I had been abducted in my car and actually beamed up into a space ship. My experience was a positive one according to the regression. I set the details aside and continued my work without anymore incidences. Since that encounter my psychic ability increased. I never wanted to do professional readings but through word of mouth people contacted me. At times it almost seemed I was being forced to do readings since I only advertised my Hypnosis business Finally, I accepted the abilities as a gift and verbally addressed God, " I don’t understand why, but it seems you want me to do psychic consultations. I don’t really want to, but it is obvious that you want me to do them. So I’ll just accept the work and someday I will understand.
